ABOUT EMMITSBURG HERITAGE DAY

Welcome to the best day ever!

Emmitsburg Community Heritage day has been going on for 40 years!  Previously only a Emmitsburg Lions event it is now a multi-organizational event (that includes most of Emmitsburg's businesses, civic and religious organizations) to put together.  Many of our activities and exhibits are provided by organizations for the community.  The event is funded by donations and fundraisers.  The proceeds from the event go to charity and to providing the next years fireworks and activities.  We welcome any organization that wishes to contribute to the event monetarily (donation) and/or as an active participant. Many participants use this festival to raise money or awareness for their charity or or organization.

Our Committee

The event is organized by the Heritage Day Committee which is headed by the Emmitsburg Lions Club but includes a multiple organizations made up of the Lions Club, Sons of the American Legion, Knights of Columbus, Seton Center, EPBA, Ambulance Company, Vigilant Hose Company, Indian Lookout and more that plan and oversee the festival fundraising and event activities.

Many of Our events on this site are fundraisers for Heritage Day Fireworks and activities. Please remember to check back with us from time to time and to join our Facebook group "Emmitsburg Community Heritage Day" to keep up to date on all the special events we are having to support "the BEST DAY EVER"  Heritage Day.
